How to obtain a Passport?
Nepali Passport is not renewable; therefore, passport holders are required to apply for a new passport well within time before expiry, but not earlier than six months validity period. However, in case of accidental damage of the passport or use of all the pages meant for visa, one could apply for a new passport any time.
Passport forms are available in the Embassy or can be downloaded from the website.
An application form written (IN BLOCK LETTERS) and signed by the applicant with details mentioned in it.
Three copies of passport size photographs.
Old passport in original and its photocopy of photographed page and the valid visa page.
If valid passport is lost, a police report should be submitted along with an application, copies of passport with valid visa page/resident permit and the citizenship certificate showing the details of lost Passport.
Passport fee is AED 320. All other expenses, if any incurred, should be borne by the applicant
How to add a Child in the Passport
The following details are required:
Full name of the child
Sex
Date and place of birth
Birth Certificate
Two Photographs
Father's passport as a proof of Nepalese citizenship
Parents may apply for individual Travel Document for their child by filling-out an application form with all the information and documents as mentionedabove.
A child, whose father is not a citizen of Nepal, is not eligible to obtain Nepali passport.
Those, who marry after arrival in the foreign country and wish to include husband's family name in the passport, must submit marriage certificate, for the first time.
